I've been taking photographs since I was in middle school. My mom bought a manual Pentax SLR, gave me the instructions, and said "Figure out how this works." I've probably taken hundreds of thousands of photographs in the twenty-five years since I first heard the click of the shutter and first fell in love with the art of photography.
In college, I took several black and white photo classes in order to learn how to print my own photos. I spent countless hours in the darkroom learning how to process film and print photos. I can remember the fascination I felt as I watched my prints slowly develop and realized that the vision I saw in my mind was now a tangible reality. Even though I am now 100% digital, I do miss those days of working in the traditional darkroom.
Photography is a love affair that continues to this day. Whether I'm taking photos of the grand views of Yosemite, focusing on the smiling faces of my twin nephews, or capturing the love between a couple on their wedding day, photography gives me hope. The world can be an ugly and cruel place and it is in finding beauty that I find hope. A hope that as long as there is beauty to be found, there is hope for a better world.
Although I am based in the Inland Empire, I'm available for weddings, portraits - children, family, and group portraits - in Southern California and beyond.

ABOUT THE PRINTS YOU ORDER
PAPER CHOICE: Photos are printed on lustre paper, which offers the best of matte and glossy paper. Lustre prints have the following advantage:
• the color saturation of glossy
• the fingerprint resistance of matte
• without the glare associated with glossy
Lustre has a satin-like sheen and a modestly textured surface which you can see when the light angle is just right. Lustre paper is .7mils thicker than gloss and matte. In addition, Lustre paper is watermarked on the back as follows: "Fuji Professional Paper. If copyright applies, permission to reproduce required."
GUARANTEE: The company that hosts my website, SmugMug, works with a professional photography lab and they guarantee the quality of the prints. If you are unhappy with your prints, SmugMug will reprint or refund your order, whichever you prefer. Just email help@smugmug.com within 30 days of receiving your order.
